“A day without laughing is like a day without living!”
I’ve been working as a financial manager for Progress Uitzendbureau B.V. since 2013, right here in Sint-Oedenrode, which is where I live. Progress Uitzendbureau is an above-board and transparent temp agency. I just love working here! It’s a very flexible organisation, which allows me to combine my job with my family.
I started my career as a financial employee with Royal Ahrend, and worked my way up to become head of the financial accounting department. After that I spent some time working in my own business. But I’m at my best as a passionate and ambitious team player at Progress Uitzendbureau.
In addition to my duties as financial manager, I manage and optimise our processes and systems so that they continue to comply with legislation and regulations and the information needs of our client companies. I get great satisfaction from the pleasure of working in a small, passionate and highly motivated team whose members find strength in numbers, and help each other to grow. To me, honesty and transparency are extremely important. Not only is it a good feeling to work in an atmosphere like this, but it’s also a great place for companies to do business!
“The pessimist sees the difficulty in every solution.
The optimist sees the solution in every difficulty” – Winston Churchill
Positive attitude towards people, work and the world is my way of life.
Working at Progress gives me the opportunity to further develop and share the experience gained. Commitment and discipline of work is an important part of the administration process, I dedicate myself a 100% to the task assigned to me. I also require a similar attitude from third parties.
In every industry the basis for success is good communication, teamwork and active pursuit of the goals set. If it is in my capacity to I can achieve the goal of the day or put a smile on the someone face, I consider this day to be a success.
“I enjoy convincing businesses that Progress can increase both their production and their return!”
I’m Jan van der Wal, and I’ve been working as Commercial Manager for Progress Uitzendbureau B.V. for over 10 years. Basically, my work involves expanding our package of services for our clients.
As commercial manager, I advise and convince our client companies. Progress offers them many opportunities to increase their production as well as their return. One way to achieve this is by working with agency workers. It gives you greater flexibility on the work floor, because then you can have a smaller permanent staff and a larger flexible workforce. Thanks to this, operating costs move along with sales, so that the business return stays at an optimum or even increases. I also advise client companies about changes in legislation involving agency workers. Progress provides a full-service solution in this process. We can even take over some of their work, if they want.
To me, personal contact with our clients is extremely important. Investing in building up a long-term relationship based on trust is something I feel very strongly about. It helps me learn what is going on in the various sectors and I can adjust my advice accordingly.
Day without a smile is a lost day.
